These pieces address 'expectations' created by pop culture. Ideas of a place, person, relationship, lifestyle, future, whatever, are formed at a young age before ever actually experiencing it firsthand. This work is about those expectations and how they stand up to reality. Each piece consists of a 'room' (or in some cases 'rooms') depicting scenes from movies that for whatever reason stuck with me (Great Expectations (1998) was appropriately the first). They are sometimes not even very good movies, but one scene or image stayed with me for whatever reason.
